Recently we had the pleasure of being awarded the contract for the blast cleaning and priming of the most famous steam engine in the world" The Flying Scotsman", as part of it's restoration by the National Railway Museum. As a company, we always take pride and pleasure in our work in the restoration of everything that we do, as we enjoy our part in the realisation of  a passion to restore our heritage.

The museum is undertaking a complete restoration of the Flying Scotsman, and we have had hundreds of individual parts to renovate. Some of these we transported to our workshop at Tockwith, near York but the majority of the parts were done at the National Railway Museum at York because of the physical size of the work.

For those of you that are interested in our heritage, please revisit this page in the near future so that you can look at the photographic records of our work on this fabulous machine
