Soda blasting is an effective way of removing paint from helicopter airframes. Traditional methods require the use of chemicals or sanding which can be labour intensive. Soda blasting will not damage the frame or panels.

Soda blasting can also effectively strip paint from aircraft wheels. This can substantially reduce the number of man-hours required for paint stripping
in comparison to chemical stripping.

Benefits include:
•  Eliminates the need to use harmful chemicals or sanders
•  Soda will not damage metal, glass, rubber or aluminium trim
•  Soda will not damage or infiltrate hydraulics or engine parts
•  Inhibits rust
•  Is water soluble and has NO impact on the environment
•  Can be done without the use of water or if water is required, only a minimal amount is use
