Soda blasting specialists
are one of the most experienced contractors using the soda blast system in the
UK. We have had many years of solving problems with this unique media and would
be happy to discuss any questions or problems that you may have.
Soda blasting is
a non-destructive method for many applications in cleaning, paint stripping,
industrial equipment maintenance,
molecular steel passivation
against rust, oil removal by
and translocation, masonry cleaning and restoration, soot remediation, boat hull
cleaning, food processing facilities and equipment and it will not damage most
base materials comprising the body structure, i.e. steel, aluminium, fibreglass,
mouldings, asphalt, window glass, etc.
Without a doubt soda blasting is the safest and gentlest form of blast
cleaning. This method uses ordinary baking soda to clean the surface.
The soda cleans through effervescence rather than impact. It will not harm
glass, wood, rubber seals, plastic and most other surfaces, making it possible
to clean components in situ, without the need to disassemble. It also cleans
without generating heat, so there is no distortion to fragile components and car
If the paint from this can of coke can be removed by soda blasting at
60 psi without any distortion, you can rest assured that your project is in safe
hands. We can even turn the blasting pressure down to 30psi when needed.
Another problem that arises when conventional methods are used to clean
engine components is the problem of spent media in the oil galleries. As soda is
completely water soluble, all that is needed is a good rinse to put your mind at
