Soda blasting problems

soda blasting aluminium moulds

..Able blast cleaning were one of the pioneers of soda blasting in the UK twenty years ago.

It is a fabulous way of cleaning none ferrous metals, but we experienced a big problem when using soda blasting to clean car body shells.

It leaves an alkaline deposit on the metal, which if not thoroughly removed causes a reaction to any paint that is applied . This does not happen instantly and can take weeks for the problem to surface.

For this reason we stopped using Soda blasting many years ago and only use an inert media such as fine sand with a particle size small enough to be classed as dust.

Over thirty years experience gives us the expertise to remove one layer of paint at a time .

Even fragile aluminium panels can be cleaned without any distortion.
